Team members enrolled in the medical plan who do not complete a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) will pay an additional $25 per pay period. For 2021 benefits, the HRA consists of completing the Know Your Numbers Questionnaire when it is offered. Due to COVID-19, you do not need to complete a Wellscreen exam to avoid the extra premium. Spousal/Domestic Partner Premium
If your spouse is covered under one of the medical plan options offered by Vidant, and they are eligible for medical coverage through his or her employer, you will pay an additional $50 premium per pay period. This extra premium is not necessary when:
- You and your spouse are both employed at Vidant Health.
- Your spouse has no group medical coverage available.
- Your spouse is enrolled for Medicare coverage.
- Your spouse is enrolled in TRICARE.
Tobacco Use Premium
If you or a covered family member use tobacco, there is an additional medical premium of $40 per pay period. Tobacco users include smoking, chewing, dipping and e-cigarettes. If you or a family member use tobacco and enroll in a tobacco cessation program, you may apply to have the additional premium waived.
